it has been in storage for over 20 years now,ten of which in my ownership and earlier this week was its first time seeing water since I have owned it.I did have a problem with the fuel pump/filter on the side but quickly learned that a golf cart fuel pump works just as good and they are rebuildable! they are bigger physically but they are easier to find and put out the same pressure.the best way to tune them I found is in a long stretch of water at full throttle and turn the screw on the fuel bowl in or out until you have reached your highest rpm set the mix knob in the middle or slightly rich for a little extra oil but not too much just lookin for oil not fuel. Also if you have the original fuel tank they are prone to dry rotting and cracking but a briggs tank fits snug and is a little thicker/tougher I also changed my fuel line to 1/4 inch from the 3/16 stuff they used at the factory.

Howdy friend.I have the same motor and saw you needed help so here you go.The mix on the motor is 3oz of tc oil per gallon of gasThat is word for word off my shroud.Alot of the parts are similar to older tecumseh motors.I love my little sea king.
